Finding a travelog

From the first page, enter into the search tool some or all of a person's name, a country or a city, and search. Don't forget that the search system requires at least 4 characters to search for. Once you have done this. you should then get a list of travelogs which match your search terms, and some information about them. Simply choose the link you want and you will be taken to the travelog to read.

Selecting entries

By default Travelog shows the most recent entries first. Each entry has a little information about the entry (date, place, how the author is feeling) and the entry itself.

Sometimes an entry is quite long, and in these cases Travelog will only display the first few hundred words. You can follow a link to the whole entry though and at the end of the entry you will also find any pictures associated with it. Finally there will be a link to the entries that came immediately before and after it.

If you find the Diary Controls, you can use it to change the order you see the entries to oldest first. You can also change the number which are presented at once and if there are more entries than can be displayed, Travelog will give you a link you can follow to see the other entries.

The Diary Contents

The Diary Contents panel displays all the author's entries, sorted again by date and grouped by country. You can follow any of the links to see the individual diary entries. This is a useful way to get an overview of the travelog as you can see at a glance where the author has been and when.
