Argentina to Brazil and home

Date: 29 Aug 2007, 16:03 Place: Leeds, United Kingdom

Mood: OK I suppose

Hello everyone

How slack are we? We have finally come to write the last entry for our around the world trip and it's only 3 months after returning home. So, sat in freezing Leeds we'll do our best to remember the last few weeks of the trip of our lives...

After leaving Chris and Robbie and sunny Buenos Aires, we jumped on a plane to Puerto Iguazu. Unfortunately, we arrived to torrential rain, which had been going on for the last 5 days. Predictably we hadn't sorted out any accomodation, so wandered around for hours, getting pissed wet through, trying to find somewhere to stay.

Luckil...

A bit of Argie Bargie

Date: 18 May 2007, 00:01 Place: Buenos Aires, Argentina

Mood: Happy

Hello Everyone

We arrived in Buenos Aires early one sunny morning at the beginning of May, and were very pleasantly surprised by first impressions. Luckily, our stalkers Rob and Chris are also staying in BA for a month, doing a Spanish course and kindly invited us to crash at their plush apartment in the centre of town. How cool. We have met lots of cool people through Robbie and Chris´s Spanish sch...

Hello Everyone

After the Inca trail, we spent a couple of days chilling in Cuzco. We woke late the day after the trek, and were drawn to Plaza de Armas (Main Square) by Sounds of the Andes on Pan Pipes. Not the shit CD; the real thing. There was a traditional dance festival going on, with a live band, and we were very priveleged to see it - it was really cool. There were different troupes from the surrounding villages, each performing their local dance, in traditional costume (some guys had scary balaclavas on). That evening we had a final farewell meal with the guys, and the next day we sa...

Inca-redible

Date: 24 Apr 2007, 18:16 Place: Cuzco, Peru

Mood: Overjoyed but tired

Hello Everyone

We had an overnight flight to Santiago from Auckland, and arrived before we set off (having crossed international date line), which left us feeling a little jetlagged and odd. Checked ourselves into our accommodation - a cool apartment in the arty Barrio Brasil district, only 5 minutes walk from central Santiago - it was ace. Spent a couple of days exploring Santiago and its cool neighbourhoods and we loved it. The weather was beautiful, although it was very smoggy, and Santiago was very Spanish and a bit scruffy. There were no public toilets anywhere, however, which proved p...
