Bariloche. Cerro Campanario

Date: 6 May 2005, 21:06 Place: Argentina

Mood: Happy

m: lady at hostel:´Take bus number twenty 17 km out of town, get off when you see the sign ´campanario´, find the little cable car hut,pay 15 to go to the top. Theres a good view there.´

This morning I saw what has to be the most incredibly beautiful view I have ever. From the pinacle of the mountain we had just peacefully asended words failed me all as I stood gawping at the view.... for four hours! I must have taken about one hundred photographs in an almost obsesive attempt to capture at least a memory of the scene. we were surounded be snow capped mountains, on every horizon, lakes, islands, eagles, intence colours, clouds that morphed between rain cloud and wispy streaky beauty, farms and tiny wooden houses. I am at the conclution now that this must be fairytale land. And also cant understand why there isnt a sign that says ´DONT BOTHER WITH THE TOWN...Go staight through to Cerro Campanario´ we will put some photos up but its alsmost imposible to compare them with reality.
