After saying goodbye to Mandy and Tim on the 26th of June, I spent the day wondering around town, introverted and sad, waiting for my American friend Patrick to get back from Machu Pichu so we could organise our trip, hopefully, back to Bolivia. BLOCKADES ARE APPARENTLY OVER.
So, thats just what happened, we ended up leaving 2 days later.... really glad to be leaving Cusco, had overstayed my visit by about 4 days.... ready to leave. Off to Copacabana on Lake Titicaca on the Bolivian side....YaYYYYYY.

We left Arequipa feeling pretty secure that the six hour bus ride and three day hike to see some big birds wasn`t worth it, and as it turns out we were right as we had officially seen those very same bids in paracas (The dry national park near Pisco) without knowing it and I had taken many many photos of them. so all was well and we headed for Puno, which is the town on the peruvian side of the lake. this time we managed to time it correctly, so as to squeeze in a trip between two sets of transportation strikes in Puno, and not to get stuck.

Nasca trip

Off to Nasca, Mandy, Patrick (american), Rachel (american/isreali), Jason (Canada) and myself ready to take on the world after our days of doing nothing in Cusco.
We arrived in Nasca at about 8am and by 10 we were climbing into this rickety 5 seater plane ready to fly over what is supposed to be a wonder of the world. (How were these amazingly huge drawings made, especially since they can only be seen from the sky? I think with minatures and rope, but hey.).
The flight was really fun, except for the spiraling 5 times, in each direction, around each drawing. It was hard to concentr...
