Well, there was no snow the next morning in Interlaken, had a fun night though. After spending half of the day looking at the scenery one last time, I booked my ticket to Italy and hopped on the train.
The train left around 4pm so by the time I had gone an hour it was all dark. You could still see that there had been a lot of snow falling in many of the places the train passed through so when the train got to Brig, I got out and went to look for somwhere to stay.
It wasn't until the next morning that I realised HOW beautiful this place really was. I hopped off in the MIDDLE of the Swiss Alps.
I went into the tourist information centre to ask where would be the best place to travel to. The beautiful lady behind the counter, with really nice eyes, suggested to go and see the gigantic Glacier that is close by. So off I go into the mountains by train and cable up to 2000m above sea level. There was 50 cm of fresh snow and it was FANTASTIC, although a little foggy. I went for a 1/2 hour walk to a restaurant lookout sight only it was too foggy to see anything, but still the snow kept falling. So on the way back down, I stopped off at a kids playground that was covered by half a meter of snow. Like you do.... I made a snowman, a snow angel and ran knee deep through the snow. It was GREAT. In fact, I even stayed around for another day and a half in Brig just to check the place out and enjoy some more of the scenery.
This is where I went walking: Click on the top picture. http://216.239.35.120/translate_c?hl=en&u=http://www.matterhornstate.com/e/resorts/bettmeralp.html&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dbrig%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8%26oe%3DUTF-8
After a couple of days, I jumped onto another train and off to Italy.
