The first thing on the agenda was a 3 day travel flexipass. http://www.raileurope.com/us/rail/passes/swiss_flexipass.htm You have to write the date for each of the 3 days that you use your pass. So on the 27th, it was across to Zurich. http://www.zuerich.ch What an absolutely gorgeous city, especially at night! Spent a couple of days there and had a great time. Even bought some beers for 55 cents a bottle and its actually really good beer too. But hey, it's not all just fun and games while you travel. It's also hard work. For 2 hours we hiked up one of the highest hills around Zurich to check the lookout. Unfortunately it was extremely cloudy by the time we got there so all we could see was about 6 foot in front of us into the great expanse of fog. ..... Well at least the drawings up on the lookout showed us where everything was SUPPOSED to be.
Then on the 29th we changed the 7 to a 9 on our pass and went to a HUGE waterfall on the border of Switzerland and Germany. Amazing!! You get to go right to the bottom of the waterfall and very close to the water. Sure you get wet, but the sight is Brilliant. http://www.rhinefalls.com/
Then onward and upward to Interlaken. Lets get them ski's ready.
