HAVE SPENT A COUPLE OF DAYS IN Copenhagen. There wasn't a lot here that I could really say that caught my interest. Although, there was the BEST tourist information booklet I have ever seen which made the whole experience so much better. The tourist information in Copenhagen have a book which tells you of the History of the place, has information on all of the major events and sights, has a full city map and even four self walk tours that you can take. The walks were fantastic as I could go at my own pace through the city looking at all of the buildings and reading exactly when each was built, what it used to be used for, who designed it etc.. It makes the whole trip worth while. After doing the 'must see' walk to "The little Mermaid" statue and H.C. Andersons Grave I did like any self respecting radio announcer would do. I went to a radio station and had a tour through the building.
They have 3 stations in the one building so there was a lot happening at once. They were also using the windows version of Master Control and the studios looked great.
As for the rest of the city, well I didn't mind it too much either. Although I must warn you if you are going to visit Copenhagen, be aware that the 'teller machines' (or cash points) have the numbers going 123 456 789 from the bottom like on the computer keyboard. They are not 123 from the top as in Australia. I thought that the machine must have had a problem with one of the numbers after the first two tries, so I changed machines to check. SORRY ..... 3 tries your out. It took my card which has now been promptly sent back to Australia. Lucky I had a spare card. (And who said I was paranoid when I was packing?..... Oh, that was me!) Anyway, on to Hamberg in Germany. Going to meet up with a friend there. Bye!
