well i managed to get to my hostel from the train station no problem, when i got to the the hostel all i wanted to do was get a drink, lol even though i arrived at night it was still hot, i dumpped my bags and went for a walk the ocean front was all lit up with Neon Hotels and Bars (i forgot to take any pics :( didnt really go out much at night!) but still it was very colourful and busy, the next day i went to the everglades with two dutch guys from my room, first we took a air boat ride through the glades and did some nature spotting, we saw crocodiles, iguanas (8ft long) and all sorts of birds, oh and the odd turtle the air boat ride was cool, very fast and very noisy, lol at one point we stopped and the guide gave us a bit of info about the glades then as he tried to move on we realised we we stuck on a bed of mud, lol, the guide got all the passangers to rock side to side to try to free the boat but after about 5 mins of doing this he realised that this was not going to work, so he then gott me and the dutch guys to move down to the front of the boat to try to shift the weight, which eventually freed us. When we got back to the dock we were taken to see a talk about all the animaly of the everglades, and at the end everyone to to hold a 6 month old crocodile. the skin on them is very very soft which was surprising even the down the back the skin was soft. once everyone had held the croc we all went to eat in the cafe, where i had a crocodile burger!! and mmmmmm it was very nice, it looked like chicken but a little bit pinker, and it had a sweeter aftertaste, very very nice indeed!!!
the next day we all went to the beach to play vollyball and "soccer" which was really fun, i tryed to tell them all that i am shit at all sports but they insisted!! in the end the teams were split in to all the europeans against the south americans!!!. and naturaly europe won, lol, they even said a played better than some of the other guys, but i think they were just trying to be nice, lol
on my last day i just spent all my time on the beach sunbathing and swimming (omg the water is so hot) and half way down the beach "Coors Light" were filming a advert which was cool watching, then i spent the reast of the night packing for my flight the next day, i had to be up at 5 for my flight at 7.30.
once i got to the airport i was checking the screens to see where i was supposed to check in at, when i was heading to the check in desk i realised that i had lost my wallet, i went to the info desk and the guy said that no wallet had been handed in. As i was walking away my name was called over the tannoy, i went back to the screens where i was lookin for my flight and there was a security gaurd holding my wallet. a big relief. as i was heading to the check in (i was now late) i then realised that i did not have my laptop bag, so i had now lost my laptop now in an even more panic i went back to the info desk to see if anyone had handed it in (as if) the guy said that no one had handed a laptop bag in and asked me to fill out a form so that if it turned up they could contact me!!!, as i had just finished filling out the form another security guard with a mouth FULL of gold teeth came up to the desk with my laptop bag, omg i could not belive my luck, i rushed to the check in desk hoping to god that they would let me on (my flight was due to leave at 7.30, and it was now 7.25 and i was 40 mins late for chech in) the girl behind the desk said that i was way too late and i'd have to get another flight, but the gaurg that gave me my wallet back told here what had happend and she let me on, i cheked my back pack and went to go on to the gate but she said i could not take to bags on as hand luggage. so it was the laptop bag or the bag with the camcorder in, so i went to take the camcorder out of the bag to carry on but she said i could not coz it still classed as a second bag, she explained that i had no choice but to check it in to the hold, when i got to Guayaquil i found that one of the baggage handlers had gone through my bag and stolen my camcorder!!!.
