I have not wrote in ages but thought you might like to know I have just completed the TEFL/TESOL course. I had decided while I was traveling that this was something I wanted to do. Due to Brian being in Iraq I thought this was the ideal time to go. Also next year we are moving to either South Korea or Japan with the military so this would give me a good chance of finding work. I decided to do the course in Philippines as I have wanted to go there for so long. So on 22nd Jan I flew to Dubai spent some time with my friend then headed off to the Philippines. I arrived in Manilla then flew to Cebu. I spent the first night in Mactan Island. My accomodation was horrible and there was a videoke bar next door so I was really unhappy especially as I was so tired. So the next day I could not be bothered to catch the bus so I got a taxi to Moalboal which is about a 4hr taxi ride. It was okish there thou expensive compared to the rest of SE Asia. There was not a real beach but where I stayed had a pool. I stayed there about 5 days then headed back to Cebu to start the course which was supposed to be for 4 weeks. The course was an intense course. I had 4 peers who were all younger than me with 4 yr University degrees which made me feel slightly nervous. Every night we were over loaded with homework but I couped just. We had 6 classes in total to prepare for plus 2 one on ones. After a lot of stress and hard work I completed the course. We were also given foreign language classes so we understood what it was like to be a language student. So we were taught Mandarin and Cebeouno. We also had grammar classes which I struggled at and phonology classes which were actually very interesting. We ended up completed it 5 days quicker than normal as we were "such an advanced group" lol. So now I have the course cetificate which I am so proud of. During the course I headed off to Malapascua Isand for a weekend which was very nice but when the course finished I went to Boracay. Well what can I say Boracay has to be one of the best beaches I have ever been to in my life it was pure paradise. If Brian had been there is would have been a dream but being there alone was lonely. So I have spent a week here and it is wonderful the sand it pure white and the water is like glass I love it so much. There are lots of lovely restaurants and with fantastic food. It is such a romantic and magical place it would have to be one of my favourite places. The weather has been hot but not always sunny which is good as it enables you to sunbathe all day. After Boracay I headed off to Manilla to the Mall of Asia and done lots and lots of shopping before heading off home to Germany again.
