Me and Brian met up in Bahrain. He had a bit of a nightmare at the airport in Frankfurt when they told him that his flight had not been confirmed and he was on standby. He said he begged them to get him on the flight as his wife would kill him if he did not arrive in Bahrain. He offered to go in with all the luggagge but luckily there was one seat available which just happened to be in business class. So he got the flight and a free up grade. We spent a few days just enjoying the scenery and beached in Bahrain plus there culinary delights before flying off to Thailand. Once we touched down in Bangkok we had to get a domestic flight to Krabi where the hotel was waiting to pick us up. We had a 2 hr journey to get to the hotel. But all the travelling was worth it when we arrived at theTwin Lotus spa resort. There was a golf buggy that took us to reception were we there was cocktails and cold towels waiting for us. Then they escorted us to our suit where there were 2 ladies with wooden buckets waiting. They washed and massaged our feet and placed house slippers on our feet. Our suit was amazing it was split into 2. There was the lounge area with a separate bathroom in one building and then the bedroom with fantasic views of the beach. We had our own private outdoor jacuzzi which had been filled with floating lilies plus our very own private swimming pool. The shower in our room was amazing the shower head was massive and it felt like when we showered it was like rain pouring over us plus the full glass window so we felt like we were showering out side. Each night when we got home the hotel had been in and turned down our bed and lite the candles. It was fantastic. Every night we would have a jacuzzi and go for mid night swims it was so romantic. We hired a scooter and went around Koh Lanta which was great fun. However we were in low season therfore there was not very much open. We were the only guests in our hotel! Which was great but after 5 days we decided we would head off somewhere else. Phi Phi was only 2 hrs away from us so we headed off to Phi Phi. We booked into the Phi Phi Village Spa Resort. This resort was a 40 min boat ride from the main town and could only be got to by private boat which ended up being a complete rip off but as it was the only mode of transport we did not have much of a choice. It did mean that you had to dine each night at the hotel which was lovely but it would have been nice to have gone into town or done something different. But we had a great time anyway. We took one of the trips to Phi Phi Lay so Brian could see where they filmed the beach plus we went to monkey bay, snorkeling and kayaking. We had a brilliant day out but compared to the first time I went there which was 5 years ago it was totally spoilt. I have compare both sets of my pictures and you would be amazed how the colour of the water has changed plus the bird nests which are a Japenese delicacy are nearly none existant now. In the main village of Phi Phi there is now so many tourists and hundreds of bars, restaurants, shops and hotels it is such a shame that such a beautiful place is being ruined by tourists! We spent 3 days in Phi Phi then headed off to Bandkok for our last 5 days. We stayed at Swissotel Nai Lert Park, Bangkok which is a five-star hotel nestled amidst a luxuriant, sprawling garden estate in the very heart of the city's central business and diplomatic district. It is a sanctuary away from the bustling metropoliston with the most fantastic garden and amazing swimming pool. It really did feel like we were somewhere else. While in Bangkok we also went to the River Kwai as Brian wanted had never seen a waterfall plus I wanted him to pet the Tigars the day out was fantastic apart from the rain but it really did not matter. We rode the death railway train which was breathtaking but the history behind it is another story. We done lots of shopping and ate loads of food. Then we had to head back to Bahrain where we spent a further 5 days topping up our suntans. While there we decided that I was not going back to my job. As you all know the reason I went back to the job was because I did not want to be apart from Brian while he was deployed to Iraq but we found out the company had not intention of letting me go to Balad they wanted my to stay in Kuwait. If we had known this before then there would have been no way in hell I would have left Brian to go to the middle east. Who in the right mind would want to be separated from there husband before he deployes to Iraq for 15 months never mind leave him 3 months prior. We are both totally pissed that a company thinks more about making money than anything else cos as we all know not everyone comes back from Iraq as per the 3700 Americans already dead. So I headed back to Germany with Brian and we spent his last week together before he headed off. All week we kept being told different things about when he would be leaving and we spent most of the week in tears. It was a devastating week. Finally on Sunday the 15th July I left him at about 5.30 at our car. It was the worst moment of my life. I was sick, I hipervenilated it was just hearbreaking I saw him walk through his hangar door then just waited and waited but he never came out again. I slowly drove home and spent the day in sobs. The next few days contued the same. I just felt empty being home alone. I headed off to the UK for a couple of weeks which was nice but without Brian by my side I could not really have a good time. Then I came back to Germany. Even thou I am alone here this is now my home and my house. So I spend my days going to the gym really working out hard to pass the time away especially as I am not working. I am losing weight and toning up which is going to great for when Brian comes home. I am trying to go to America for a holiday I was supposed to go a month ago but I want to take the military flight as it is free. Due to school holidays it turned into a nightmare so I am trying again next week! last week was Brians birthday he is now 34 on the day of his birthday he was making shelf's for his room when there was a mortar attack 100m from him. He was injured in the attack with Shrapnel in his arm and exploding rocks caused him to get a bruised bum but he is okay thank god! This war is the most scarey thing I have ever had to deal I HATE it so much but I just pray for his safe return to me. He has now been away 6 weeks so we have 13 1/2 months left and I am counting every minute until he returns home and I am complete again.
