Long time no write! Well things have been really hectic with me. I have now given up my job. I loved my job most of the time. With the job I done some pretty amazing things that not many people will ever get to experiance. I also travelled to Afghanistan, Bahrian, Djibouti Africa, Dubai, Greece, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait and Qatar so I have now been to most of the middle eastern countries all thanks to my job. I really did love living in Dubai I would have to say the UAE is my favourite country in the world and I look forward to moving back one day. So why have I left the job and the country if I loved it so much? Well over Christmas last year I had to go and work in Afghanistan. I was not too happy about it but knew I would earn alot of money there. After spending the night in a tent in Kuwait I caught the military flight to Afghanistan. When I arrived it was really cold but really beautiful surrounded by mountains. I would be living in a b-hut with a lady of the military store. Her name was Darlene and we hit it off straight away. For the first few days we went everywhere together. She was so funny and had so many men problems. We met some Norweign guys and started going to there base for partys it was so much fun and we were the only females. On Christmas day I worked all day then went to a party at their base. I stayed till gone 5 in the morning. That day I had to go to work so after 2 hours sleep I got up went to go for a shower but there was no hot water. So no shower for me! I went to work feeling like absolute shit. At lunch time my friend Darlene came and collected me and we went to lunch She wanted a briefing on the night before and we both sat in the dining facility in fits of laughter. There was a guy who kept looking over and starring at me. He was a real hotty so Darlene said I should give him my number and directions to where I had worked. So when he passed by us I gave him all my details on the napkin. Within an hour he was there in my office. He was so gorgeous and that was the first thing I said to him. After that day we ended up spending the next 2 weeks together he would be at my office first thing in the morning with orange juice and visit me all day long between my customers he was there so often got to know alot of my customers and helped me sell vehicles. We had lunch and dinner together and spent every evening together but as we were on a military base could not spend the nights together. It was love at first sight and within 3 days of meeting we were madly in love. By new years eve we had decided we never wanted to be apart and were going to get married. I had to leave him there in Afghanistan which was heart breaking but promised to see each other again. We continued to email and IM and chat on the phone sending each other lots of letters and cards. By February he had booked a flight to come and visit me in Dubai. Brian is a Pilot for the US military flying helicopters he is the same age as me and a non-smoker and the only thing he did not really like about me was I smoked but said it did not matter but would perfer if I didnt so on 14th February I stopped. I had smoked for nearly 19 years. He left Afghanistan the end of February back to Germany. He had to sort out alot of things there then on the 12th March was on a flight to Dubai. By this time I had quit my job and was working my notice as we both had decided we wanted to be together asap. We had the most romantic 8 days together. He had arrived with an empty suitcase so that he could help take my things back with him. He was there on my birthday and we went to the Burj Al Arab to the fish restaurant and the cocktail bar and had a fantastic night. He also brought my engagement ring on my birthday. He had to go back to Germany and less than 2 weeks later I had packed up my appartment sold all my things and was on a flight to Germany. We are now living in Wuerzburg and moving to Ansbach in the next few weeks. I am not working at the moment and dont plan to for a few months as we have so much going on with moving and then we have a few trips planned to go to the UK so Brian can meet my family and I am going to America to meet his. It is amazing how quickly things happen. I had wanted to give up smoking but did not really think it would happen. It has now been 51 days I am so proud of myself. I always say you can do anything if you want it enough and I think I have proved that in the things I have done. I have never really been the settling down type but I think that was due to not meeting the right person. People would say to me you will meet your dream man when you least expect it and they were so right!
