Oooooooh, this is the second to last entry (just in case anyone thought the title was some reference to a NASA landing or something). Just two more days left and then home, although I am flying with Jihad Airlines with a changeover in Baghdad, so if I go missing give Osama a quick call and ask him what the crack is.
Still in Bangkok, but now - as a treat due to not being able to leave Bangkok (we've now been granted legal citizenship) - we've moved from our four-walled fan-cooled kennel to a room with a balcony, aircon, HOT shower and cable TV... just in time for the Champions League final coincidentally enough. Kaori has now been removed from the paraplegic register and we're both feeling fine, although returning home in two days after 28-months on the run has left me feeling the most emotional I've felt since I had to kill my pet goldfish with a brick (true story). After seeing three people we knew in two days we decided it was time to venture outside Khao San Road, so with baited breath and knocking knees we had a wander to Bangkok Zoo. It's full of animals. Shock. And then today, just to make sure Kaori really is traumatised for life I took her on the boat again where she had her fall. To be fair I did take her shopping though, which I've always been a big fan of. Especially clothes shopping. It's right up there alongside slicing my eyes open with a stanley knife and crushing my balls in a vice in terms of fun ways to pass time.
Ok I'll do one more entry on Sunday (as I'm running out of time now) and then that's yer lot. See you then.
