I should zoom back to Monday really. Twas the night before a bank holiday (Independence day of a sort), and we were out in force. After visiting a friend at her house and going to watch a movie in her apartments own cinema (with the most excrutiatingly painful massage chairs this side of the asia), we headed out on the town to top up on the already massly consumed wine. We went to diRty Wan Chai. It is a pretty funny place to go out for a drink. The bars are every other building, and the in between buildings are of THAT lady kind variety. We went to a place called Amazonia, there were a few bands playing, the Jack Daniels was flowing and I am afraid I was in the mood for making friends so proceeded to speak to most of the pub. I did meet some interesting people with the promise of more gig type meetings. My friend and I finally managed to make it home at 7am for a bit of much needed sleep.
The next day bought to us blinding sunshine, a vast expanse of the purest blue sky, and unsteady feet. After only 3 hours sleep I was still under the influence but wanted to make the most of the day. We were going to head to a little island off the coast near Sai Kung called Tap Mun. It is covered in grass and they supposedly have cows! We missed the only ferry. We then headed to Sai Kung for a really lovely seafood lunch and a top up of their finest beer (Tsingtao). We then jumped on to a water taxi and pointed in a general direction. We ended up on this lovely little island in the middle of the ocean somewhere, it may have a name but I couldn't tell you what it was. There was a lovely beach, and a pebbled crossing to another type of little island. It was really beautiful. We climbed some rocks and then sat and watched the sun breaking through the then formed clouds on to the sea. I have pictures and will upload them at a later date.
