We went on a lovely day out on Sunday. I was a bit hungover so Steph was in charge of making all the decisions. We wanted to go to a beach or go for a nice walk somewhere pretty. We headed to Diamond Hill because we heard from a website that you could get the number 7 bus all the way to Hoi Ha which is past Sai Kung. There is a marine park there where you can snorkle. We couldn't find the number 7 bus, or in fact any buses that went there so we found a lovely man who asked a bus driver for us (people here are really helpful, we were looking a little lost and he took the time to look at ou...

The Olympics Beijing 2008
Date: 11 Aug 2008, 15:24 Place: Hong Kong
Mood: Happy but Energetic
I went to the Olympics on Saturday night, and it was pretty ace. The Equestrian events are being held in Hong Kong and we went to see the Dressage. This is horses dancing, and it wasn't really as exciting as I hoped it would be. Saying that, I'm not sure what moves I expected the horsies to do....but it was the Olympics, and it was good to see. The arena as nice, and we could see the Olympic flame and they had cheap beer and lots of flags. I have discovered a new love for flags, but I will give this new obsession time to fully blossom before I talk to you about that. Great Britain came 8t...
Typhoon good typhoon bad.

Mood: Happy but with that niggling feeling...
Before we get on to the typhoon I should add some kind of order to this entry.
Tuesday 5th August. I finished work and hurried my ass over to Central so I could catch the Airport Express Train..because I was going to Asia Expo...to see the bands you see! We had tickets for Live and Loud...a kind of mini festival (as in 5 bands...mini mini). On the bill, Jamie (I haven't a clue who he is) Scott, New Found Glory, (oops I) Lost (my eyeliner) Prophets, One ( I like veal) Republic and Simple Plan. I wasn't overly loving the line up so we bought the cheaper standing tickets, which just meant ...
People in Hong Kong

Mood: Overjoyed but ...nothing :)
People in Hong Kong are very sweet and very curious....and occasionally very frustrating....but this isn't one of those times. I have been people watching more than usual and things I have spotted.
People always seem to get in your way when walking because they aren't actually in any rush, and they are involved in their own thoughts....they must be, no one can meander and weave that thoughtlessly unless they were deep in thought or uncaring about something.
Stretching/ Tai Chi, people do this everywhere...and anywhere. It seems to be wherever you look you will see people go about their...
Junks and Bananas
Date: 21 Jul 2008, 16:32 Place: Hong Kong
Mood: Happy but exhausted
Boats.....a Junk boat and a banana boat. I had my first junk trip in Hong Kong and it was fantastic! All you can eat and drink from 10.30am through to 6pm. Needless to say I was a wee bit wobbly when we landed. The day was hot and very sunny which only added to the already jovial moods of everyone involved.
We set sail from Causeway Bay and headed to Sai Kung (the place of amazing blues and greens I like to call it). The boat ride was very funny. The sea was a bit choppy so trying to stand up and walk around on the top deck was hilarious. When we got to Sai Kung we found a beach (Mi...
