After a few days in Salta, we had discovered a few things about Argentina and the people. There is a huge cafe culture here, people don´t seem to eat, just sit in sidewalk cafes chain smoking camel extra strength and sipping rocket fuel grade coffee. We have noticed that all the guys are huge, Glen has lost any bar fighting advantage here as he looks like a hobbit compared to most. Must be all the red meat and coffee. The women have to look perfect wherever they are and wear spray on denim 24/7, butt clenching tight even when their figure screams no. Even toilet cleaners look well turned out in their skin tight Levis. Apart from these little quirks, which are more amusing than offensive, the place is a really nice European looking country. It´s so hard to believe that we are in the same continent as Bolivia and they even share borders. Salta is a big built up town, with lovely architecture and a fantastic looking plaza. We just chilled here and tried to live the Argentine lifestyle (minus the spary on demin) which consists of doing F all, sitting in coffee bars all day long. During our hours of sitting in coffee houses we have discovered the best drink ever - The Submarino. This drink consists of a glass of boiling hot milk which a bar of choc is melted into. Bloody gorgeous. On one afternoon we took the cable car up to a view point across the city and got an awesome view. We also found a fab traditional restuarant where we ate steak, drank Argentine red wine and listened to an amazing spanish guitar duo.
