We are now in Sau paulo having endured the two 16 hour bus journeys to and from Iguazu Falls! To be fair the buses here put the national express to shame with foot rests, almost fully reciling seats etc...shame the road side cafes are rank ! We leave tomorrow morning to fly to Bolivia.
Iguazu Falls were amazing - the main falls themselves are spectacular but then there are hundreds of smaller falls all around so some of the aerial pictures you can buy are amazing. The Falls are right on the border with Argentina - we didnīt go across the border this time but will be in Argentina in a few weeks. Only drawback was, like any big attraction, it is a tourist honeypot...however it didnīt take away from the visit. The wildlife in the national park was amazing too with colourful butterflies, huge centipedes, racoons, lizards etc.
Colin is working away so I thought I would write a quick message and attempt to put some photos on...so here goes. If none appear when you read this - I have failed miserably !!
Hope you are all well.
Ciao. x
PS I have just logged back in to amend this entry - I just attempted to communicate with the lady in the internet cafe in Spanish (the Brazilians seem to understand it and I only know about 2 words of Portuguese!) and asked if I could put photos on to the site. She said NO and said (as far as I could understand) that I could not do it anywhere in Sau Paulo .....boo hoo. So just thought Iīd let you know I tried - I will not be defeated however and will try in another country....
