One hour later (midnight in Miami)
When I typed in this journal and said that not much exciting had happened today, I was jinxing myself, as usual. ;) The moment I finished typing the previous entry, member number nine of the Neupowskitonam party (A combination of all last names, it’s a long story, but it has its origins and background stories, I swear) who happens to be the son of the friend of my mothers, knocked on the door, and explained to us his situation. He had apparently left one piece of his luggage at the airport, and his mother had been calling in vain for the last hour trying to check if it was there, etc. He was going to go to the airport to heck for the bags, because the people the airlines hired for the night shift were definitely placed on night shift for a reason. (I.e., the can’t really think for themselves, but they sit well behind desks and do an excellent job of answering phones and achieving nothing) Anyway, he couldn’t go alone, and since his mother was still on the phone to airports, someone had to go with him. I was elected. Before we left, his mother got through to someone intelligent only to learn that the baggage office was closed, so we didn’t have to leave tonight. Key word in that sentence being tonight. So that is my exciting tale for today, and it sets up the exciting tale (or at least one of them) for tomorrow. Because I was originally elected to help him tonight, I am now elected to wake up at 6:00 in the morning and help him then, because his mother doesn’t want to deal with it. So we’ll see how things turn out. Anywho, its 12:15 now, and I’m done with my shower, and its off to bed for me so I can at least get 5 hours of sleep tonight, cause I didn’t get any last night..
