Well....who knew that just off the rainy, smog smitten streets of Chile´s capital, in the central bus terminal where hundreds of buses and thousands of commuters pass everyday - who knew that I would be staying the night in a quite, clean hotel which is just above the chaos on the top floor of the same building! I came to Santiago with my friend Erin supposedly for just a day trip - but we missed the last bus to Viña by just 5 minutes (that left at 10:30pm). So we were stuck! We asked a guard if there was hostel or somewhere close by to stay the night and he just pointed up. So, we climbed the stairs and passed through the doors and entered into another world of floral airfreshner scents, relaxing lamp light, and expensive hotel rooms! But it´s great! I haven´t stayed in a hotel in so long - I feel like I´m getting super spoiled! It´s so nice and honestly the room is just $49 USD for both of us together, so it´s reasonable. I could just hear Dad´s voice resonating in my mind - ¨Don´t worry about it - if you´re stuck you just do what you have to do!¨ However, we will have to scurry downstairs early manana so that we can get back to Viña and work on a group project. Too bad we can´t stay and enjoy our new found luxury!
