Well ok, so once more I'm not anymore where it says I am. I got back yesterday at far too late o'clock from two days of more or less successful flat hunting in York. After a bit of umming and ahing, I had decided to live with random people again (but not neighbours addicts this time) and I met two of the three, they seem like nice people. For all the eccentrism and awkwardness that scientists are accredited with, I'm always a bit surprised at how normal people are whose job description is something along the lines of "find funky ways to build massive lasers" or "improve stuff that doesn't exist".
Either way, York is a lovely city. The weather was atrocious, but we still walked around a lot (possibly out of lack for anything to do between viewings) and I like it. Not too big, not too small (although in my books it's not actually a city, for it has no underground) and with a lot of quirky shops. The house we're now trying to get is technically a 5 bedroom house, so we'll have a spare room for just chilling out (and there was mention of board gaming) which would be awesome. Some might say mint.
So, fingers crossed. I'm now enjoying the fact that I have very little to do, I might even get round to tidying my iPod and what not. Some time before the end of the month, probably the weekend after next, I'm heading back to Berlin. Apparently there are major plans for the European championship finals so I'm looking forward to that. Not that football is really that interesting (we watched the Italy vs. France match in York, what a lame game. Theatrics instead of football, but then this is Italy we're talking about), but the fuss people kick up about it makes up for it threefold.
Tea o'clock!
