Mood: Content and Sad
The day come for me to return back home. Felt sad yes but it’s time, I have to return back and continue my life back home. New year already, hopefully things will be great this year and I’m looking forward to it. Lee send me to the airport, thanks for the final sticky rice & pork tii rak. I was hungry by the time I transit at bkk. Gobble up the last taste of thai food. Touched down back Singapore just on time. Luckily none of my flights were delayed. All departed & landed on time. It was 6pm. Back to rainy Singapore weather in January.
Thank u everyone for making this trip another memorable one for me… Thank u Tum for being such a wonderful driver & guide, Lee for his wonderful family hospitality back home, and everyone’s company.
It’ll be in my memory locked up somewhere…
See the pictures...

Today was my last day at CM:( so fast. But it’s time. Have to return already. Visited Child’s Dream Foundation, it’s so nice to finally meet the founders in person instead of seeing pictures on the website. They look exactly the same. Met up with Ueli for lunch beside a temple. Then dropped by a bookstore to buy a Jap-Thai dictionary to post to Sor Thao back Laos. Hopefully he’ll find it useful. Postage was unfortunately expensive, nearly the same price as the dictionary!
Went to Central Plaza for a movie as never seen a movie here before. But there isn’t much variety so we watch...

Mood: Content but Too Cold
We went to Doi Ithanon today. Thailand’s highest point. It was my first time going there Haven been up a real mountain for so long since last year frequent trekking trip. But this time wasn’t trekking but going on a bike haha. We packed our lunch as the food up there maybe expensive. The drive there was quite far and was about 2hrs before we reached. The road was long & windy up the mountain. Our petrol was already down to ¼ left when we reached the temple on the mountain.
I haven had such a freezing ride before. My gosh. It was really freezing. We were hungry by the time we reache...

It’s 2008 already. A cold morning. I was still sleepy, everyone’s still in bed. But today we’re leaving the village. I want to be up early to take some pictures. My mood already turned to ‘sad’ mode already. I left 3 more days and I’ll be returning. Lee’s sister brought me to her grandma’s house. It was a neat house & they’re having their breakfast. She was saying something in Akha I don’t really understand, But I said goodbye to them before going back to have breakfast.
We were given our blessings by lee’s mum, she gave each of us an egg and a handmade wrist band. Su...

It was a nice sleep for me. I guess I was too tired to hear any snoring from HY or Lee’s father till morning came. It was another cold morning. Lee & HY already up, joined them in the kitchen till breakfast we ready. His mother made porridge today. It was so fabulously nice that I ate 2bowls! We sat a while to talk before setting off to Lee’s coffee plantation.
Lee’s brother just shot down a bird using a sling shot & showed us the bird. His brother & sister came along with us for the walk to the plantation. His mum came along shortly after in motorbike. About an hour later, we reache...
